My name is Chris Wagner, and for the past 12 years,Me and Nikki have been an at home mom. When it was time to go back to work, I had to ask myself what I really wanted to do with my life. The only thing that came to mind was that I wanted to work with animals in some capacity. We used a pet sitter years ago, and I always had that in the back of my mind as a possible career choice.

So here I am, pet sitting, and doing exactly what I want to do. All my life I have had a great love for animals, in particular, dogs. To me, animals are a reflection of pure love and honesty. When they like you, they let you know, and when they don't, they let you know that too. You always know where you stand with animals. If only humans could be that honest!

pet sitters dogMost people who come to me refer to their dogs as their children, and that's exactly how I treat their animals and my own. I have a 13 and 1/2 year old Cocker Spaniel named Nikki. We got her when I was pregnant with my first son, but I think of her as my first born!! I couldn't wait to get home from work when we first got her. She has been a wonderful addition to our family and I love her very much.

I understand how my clients feel about their dogs. When they leave them with me, I want the pets and their owners to feel happy, safe and secure. I realize it's a big deal to leave your beloved pet with a relative stranger. It takes a leap of faith to do it, and I take this very seriously.

I also put myself in the pets place. If I were to come to a strange house, usually with other dogs, I would feel confused also. I try to ease their fears and get them in the swing of things as quickly as possible. Soon they are so busy they don't have time to feel sad about missing their owners, and all the pets get lots of love, kisses and hugs!

I found this poem in my veterinarian's office and thought I'd pass it on:

Love Beyond Words

Our Companions, Our Partners, Our Friends
They Speak With Their Eyes,
Laugh With Their Tails, and
Love With Their Hearts!

"My "first born", an 11 year old German Shepherd, recently stayed with Waggy's Pet Sitting Service. She seemed to really enjoy her visit. We felt that we received excellent service and care. Waggy's gave personal attention and genuine concern for my dog. She was made to feel a part of their family. I would highly recommend Waggy's Pet Sitting Service!"

" My Dog Loves Waggy's!! I can't say enough about Waggy's Pet Sitting Service and Chris Wagner. Chris and her family take care of my Zeke like he's family to them. Zeke wasn't always excited about going to a friend's house when I was out of town either because he was all alone during the day while they would be at work or because my friend's dogs drove him nuts. But at Waggy's Chris hand picks which dogs she sits with which, which is so great because now that she knows Zeke and he knows her, she feels comfortable and so does he. And I don't have to feel bad for asking a friend to watch him or feel guilty for leaving him outside or in the garage for a night or two - he gets the comforts of home, plenty of walks, treats and a family that will play and love on him all day long while I'm away. I've already referred about 10 people to Waggy's and continue to each month - I highly recommend you give them a try!"
