Chris Wagner has loved animals all of her life. After working for two different pet-sitting services, Chris founded Waggy’s Pet Sitting Service to give her clients the personal family touch and provide security that only you can give one of your beloved pets.
Chris understands pets are not merely animals but members of your family. Her Cocker Spaniel Nikki is thought of as her first-born. Chris realizes that leaving your pet with a stranger is a big deal, and she takes this responsibility very seriously. Chris takes extra care to make sure each of her pets feel at home as soon as possible and puts herself in their shoes. She knows it’s scary being in new place so she makes sure your pets enjoy themselves and quickly adjust to their unfamiliar surroundings. All of our sitters share our compassion and empathy for your pets and provide warm, caring environments for your loved ones.
While living in Dublin, Chris volunteered with the Lindsay Wildlife Museum, an organization that rescues wildlife and nurses them back to health. The animals who cannot be released back into the wild become part of a living exhibit at the museum. As a volunteer, Chris fed baby birds, cleaned cages of various animals including raccoons, owls and hawks, and helped out with any animal when needed.
Additionally, Chris has volunteered with Folsom Independent Dog Owners (FIDO) and recently helped build a dog park in the Folsom area. She volunteered every Saturday, digging, putting in water pipes, and helping pour concrete. Chris’ love for animals, dogs in particular, drives her to go the extra mile to support other pet owners in her community. Currently, Chris volunteers her time at the Placer SPCA where she helps with fundraising activities, walks and cares for the dogs, and helps with basic dog training so that the dogs are more adoptable.
A majority of Chris’s clients come from referrals, as she makes sure all of her client’s pets are safe, secure and happy. Chris believes animals reflect pure love and honesty.

Waggy’s cares and it shows. We are a professional group of pet sitters who have a passionate love for animals. We understand your pet means as much to you as any family member. Like any nervous, anxious or uneasy parent, the idea of leaving your dog, cat or small animal with a pet sitter may leave a knot in your stomach. Here at Waggy’s, we more than understand your devotion, love and commitment for your animal.
We pledge to honor your values and commitment to your treasured pet and assure you of our desire to love, watch over and care for your pet’s every need. We treat your pet like our family. We take special care to ensure your pets are safe, secure and happy – whether at our private doggie boarding or in your home.
We offer a variety of special services customized to meet the needs of individual pet owners. You bring your pet to us OR we go to your home. Our in-house cage-free private dog boarding services do not restrict household access. Your pet can roam freely or sleep about the house. Clients may bring special pet toys, supplement dietary needs, or bring personal doggie crates or beds. If we visit your home, no special requirements are needed unless specified.
