Frequently Asked Questions

  1. I live in Roseville. Can I still board my dog at Waggy's?

Of course you can. It really doesn't matter where you live as long as we meet you and your dog for a consultation before hand.  Sorry, no "sight unseen" dogs.

  2. I need a sitter for my cat in my own home, but we live in Citrus Heights. Do you do visits outside of Folsom?

Right now we are just servicing the Folsom area for In home visits. We hope to expand into other areas soon. Please check back with us later.

  3. What is the latest we can pick up and/or drop off our dog?

In a perfect world, 7:00 am is the earliest and 9:00 pm is the latest time. Of course, everything is subject to change. We try to accommodate our clients as much as possible.

  4. Where do they sleep?

Pretty much anywhere they want. Some clients bring their crates and prefer for them to sleep there. Some sleep on our beds, some on the floor and some on their own beds.

  5. My dog is a puppy and not quite potty trained yet, can they still board with you?

Our hard and fast rule is that the dogs must be completely potty trained to board with us. This is a private home with other dogs, and for the sanity of our sitters, they have to be potty trained. So the answer is no. Sorry.

  6. What do we need to bring when we drop off our pet?

You only need to bring food and a leash. Optional items would be: Crates, special treats or toys, their own bed or any item that may help them feel comfortable and safe. We discourage rawhides, and the like, because dogs get territorial about things like that.

  7. What kind of exercise will my dog get?

They go on walks, swim in the pool, play tug of war, or just play fetch. Most times they find a new buddy to play with.

  8. Does my dog have to have all their shots?

Absolutely, yes. They must be up to date with all their shots. Including: DHLPP, Rabies, and Bordetella.
